Environmental Justice Conference 2023

Since its inception in 2016, Lee Andrews Group has played a pivotal role in collaborating with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) on their annual Environmental Justice Conference.

This initiative aims to fortify the liaison between South Coast AQMD and environmental justice communities. A diverse array of stakeholders from communitybased organizations, healthcare, industry, business, and governmental bodies are brought together to develop robust solutions.

The focus remains on communities disproportionately burdened by pollution and environmental adversities, aiming for purer air for all. The 2023 rendition of the conference witnessed an assembly of over 400 attendees, both in-person and virtual, spanning a four-hour dialogue. An enlightening keynote address, a plenary session, and breakout discussions tackled critical environmental justice issues. Riveting program sessions delved into themes such as green job avenues, air quality, environmental justice policies, and pioneering technology.

The event was graced by emcees of repute from across the four counties enveloped in AQMD’s purview, with Leticia Juarez of ABC 7 Eyewitness News commanding the stage this year. Lee Andrews Group meticulously managed the comprehensive spectrum of event program development, from formulation of an online format to venue finalization and engaging emcees, moderators, and speakers. The firm acted as the nexus between the venue and vendors, orchestrating outreach collateral, event logistics, and budget management for various facets including audio-visual, décor, and catering.

Amidst the pandemic, the adept team facilitated seamless transitions to virtual and hybrid event models in adherence to public health directives, ensuring the essence and vigor of dialogues remained intact.
