We had the privilege of hosting an impactful event for the Steinberg Institute, titled "Leadership and Proactive
Public Policy in California - Addressing Mental Healthâ at the Getty House on September 27th, 2023. In
collaboration with distinguished figures such as Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and Chair of the Los Angeles
County Supervisors Janice Hahn, this reception was a significant gathering dedicated to addressing mental
health concerns through proactive public policy in California.
The event featured a star-studded appearance by the renowned Actor, Producer, and Director, Halle Berry, who shared her insights on the critical issue at hand. The lineup of speakers included prominent figures such as Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, County Board Chair Janice Hahn, and Stephanie Graves, CEO of Lee Andrews Group and a Board Member of the Steinberg Institute.
The event also benefited from the expertise of Dr. Jonathan Sherin, the former Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and Dr. Margot Kushel from the UCSF School of Medicine. Together, they discussed and explored strategies to advance leadership and proactive public policy in California, making a meaningful contribution to addressing mental health challenges in the state.
