Giancarlo Rubio is an experienced public engagement specialist with the ability to deliver comprehensive public participation plans for inclusive community input. He brings over 6 years of experience in both the public and private sectors.
Giancarlo brings his expertise in both legislative affairs and public engagement strategies for projects. He performs a wide variety of tasks in strategic communication, underserved community focus, planning, marketing, and construction and environmental justice projects. Giancarlo provides community engagement program management including hearing/scoping coordination, public and school safety program development and implementation, and collateral material development.
He is a specialist who is collaborative, approachable, and relatable with a strong ability to build relationships, reach consensus and build coalitions, engaging with communities, and intra agency coordination. Giancarlo has a proven record of identifying, developing, and maintaining a diverse set of community relationships in Los Angeles County and the Valley.
Prior to joining Lee Andrews Group, Giancarlo was a transportation planning associate for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority working on notable countywide projects which included LA Metro’s Better Bus Initiative, the NextGen Bus Plan, Downtown LA Bus Speed Improvements Projects, and the Long Range Transportation Plan.Giancarlo graduated from California State University, Northridge with his BA in Communication Studies. In May of 2022, Giancarlo will obtain his Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Project Management from Louisiana State University.
