Alma Marquez has over 15 years experience in government, private, and nonprofit sectors across the areas of public affairs, community engagement, program facilitation and project development. Her expertise includes community relations, event coordination, strategic planning, social media marketing, and is culturally competent to effectively communicate with people of other cultures.
At Lee Andrews Group Ms. Marquez develops and executes statewide environmental justice outreach programs, manages community engagement for transportation projects, and develops communication and outreach programs for land use projects in diverse communities. Alma is an accomplished writer and speaker in English and Spanish.
Prior to joining Lee Andrews Group Alma was an Executive Director for environmental non-profits in Los Angeles and Riverside Counties, served as a Director of Programs for Multi-Ethnic Collaborative of Community Agencies (MECCA) in Orange County, a Senior District Representative in Long Beach and Inglewood, District Director in Los Angeles, and Senior Community Organizer in Orange County.
Alma received her BA from University of California, Irvine, and is state certified for Conflict Resolution Mediation Management. She is fluent in Spanish.
