Maricela Gomez is a Senior Strategic Advisor and the Communications Manager for the Los Angeles Community College District’s $9.6 billion capital improvement program.
With more than 20 years of government, communications and project management experience, Maricela has provided a record of success in strategic policy, building coalitions and communicate in day-to-day and crisis situations.
Maricela is a public affairs professional with experience in strategic planning, multi-media communications, managing key stakeholder relationships and creating community integration opportunities. Throughout Maricela’s 20-year career, she has worked on policy matters impacting business, the built environment, infrastructure, economic development and job creation at the local and state levels in additional to overseeing the approvals for two regionally significant development projects. Prior to joining Lee Andrews Group, Maricela served at Deputy Director, Legislative and Inter-Governmental Affairs for the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development; Executive Director of Real Estate and Government Relations for Paramount Pictures (2010-2017); and, Director of Government Relations at Playa Vista (2006-2010).
Maricela graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Maricela is fluent in Spanish.
